GIGP - 2024 Flavor of GA Finalist

Every year, the University of Georgia-Athens hosts a Flavor of Georgia Competition. Competitors from all over the state send in product samples to be tasted by a panel of judges. There are 12 categories, and for each category, three products are selected to compete. In April of 2024, there were 145 entries total, 15 entries in the snack category. We were thrilled to be chosen as one of the 36 entries (1 of 3 in the Snack category) for our Signature Blend, SEA TURTLE PECAN CARAMEL. We earned the priviledge of proudly displaying the Flavor of Georgia Finalist logo on all of our products!

In 2024, we were not selected the winner in the snack category...Our heartfelt congratulations to Cork Popcorn from Statesboro! While GIGP did not "officially" win, we WON because of the amazing positive attention this honor brought to our company!

The week, we sent two entries to the 2025 UGA Flavor of Georgia Competition, Dark Chocolate Cherry Bliss gourmet popcorn and Pirate's Booty gourmet popcorn (made with Richland Rum distilled in Brunswick, GA). The judges will announce the finalists to compete in all 12 categories on March 19 or 20. We are anxiously and impatiently waiting to hear the results! Stay tuned for the results next week!
