About the Recipe
When my brother and I were kids, my mom would occasionally make us a special breakfast treat, Cinnamon Toast! This popcorn reminds me of that buttery, sweet treat!

Ingredients
8 - 10 cups popped popcorn
Microwave or self-popped recommended! It needs to be warm!
4 tablespoons unsalted butter (½ stick), melted
¼ cup granulated white sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon (or to taste)
½ teaspoon salt
Optional: a pinch of nutmeg, cardamom and/or allspice
Preparation
Step 1
Pour the popped, warm popcorn in a large bowl.
Step 2
Carefully remove any unpopped kernels (they may be hot!).
Step 3
In a small bowl, mix the sugar, salt, and cinnamon (spices) until blended.
Step 4
Drizzle the popcorn with butter. Sprinkle the buttered popcorn with the cinnamon-sugar mixture and toss gently.
Caution: If the butter is too hot (boiling) it will wilt the popcorn and make it soggy!
Step 5
This popcorn is not designed to be stored, and therefore we recommend enjoying it immediately after making it!
Step 6
Be generous with the napkins!
